A wedding of exceptional Interest
was solemnised yesterday when Leon
ora Fisher Whlpp (Mrs. Hartrldge
Whipp) and Alvln Thomas Shane
were married at S o'clock in an at
tractive suite In the Multnomah hotel.
Kev. Joshua Stnnsflvld officiated. Mrs.
Shane is a widely known organist,
having appeared here and throughout
the northwest in concert and recital.
She is recognised for her musical ab!l
lty and her charm of manner has en
deared her to a large circle of friends. '
The ceremony was simple, but the
suite was banked In rare flowers. The
bride wore a Paquln gown of becom
ing model with a touch of rich color
ing in the flowers at the girdle. After
an extended wedding trip Mr. and Mrs.
Shane will return to take up their res
idence In the Multnomah hotel, where
they have engaged a (handsome suite.
Mr. Shane will take his bride on a trip
east. He Is from ldab.0 Falls, where
he has extensive business and banking

MRS. KORRIS HONORED
A tribute to Mrs. Charles Norrls,
who for the past four years has serv
ed as treasurer of the Presbyterian
Ladles Aid and who during- that time

ing, was paid at yesterday's meeting of
the Aid when members presented her
with a set of silver salad forks. Mr

Parent Teacher Association, has been
appointed by Mrs. Jvlirabeth Hayhurst.

Reports regarding the Russian anti-
soviet movement continue conflicting.
The Helsingfors dispatch says the Rus
sian agency there declares that the
fate of Pctrograd is still In the bal
ance. It says the Insurgents liaye
taken the part of the city which is
under fire from Kronstadt , and that
it Is also being shelled by tho bolshe
vik batteries at Boulkovo.
