charmingly entertained at the home of
Mrs, C. V. Nelson, 515 -Maine street,
on Tuesday nfternoon. Mm. Nelson
was assisted by Mrs. II. M. Masscy,

ana sirs. Kim Monon. a two course
luncheon was served by Mrs, Charlea

The program, as yet, is tentative.

will attend and will be one of the
speakers. Among the state officers
are two Pendleton women. Mrs. Wy

Mrs. Thomas Hampton one of the dt-rectors.
In a unique guessing contest, Mrs.
Krchbiel and Mrs. L A. Rigby were
prize winners. Guests of the club
were Mrs. F. M. Ruse, of Nampa,
Idaho, who Is visiting her daughter,
Mrs. Nelson; Mrs. Charles Smith, Mrs.
Floyd. Hascall and Mrs. Thomas.
MOTOR TO WALLA WALLA
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bond, Mr. and
Mrs. Will H. Bennett, R. E. Morse and
little son, Maxwell Morse, motored to
Walla Walla yesterday. The child re
mained in Walla Walla at the home ot
his aunt, Mrs. Warren Henneburger.

day, Miss Anna Howard becaloo th.
bride of Walter E. Clark, the wedding
taking place at the homo ot Mr. and
Mrs. A. E. McCulley, IIS Lee street.
The exchange of vow took place amid
a setting of pink carnations and
greenery, with Rev. George L. Clark,
pastor ot the Presbyterian church,
performing the ring ceremony. The
hrldo wh3 smartly gowned in navy j
blue satin, with hat of black lace. She
was unattended. Mrs. H. K. McLean
played the wedding march. About I
thirty-five relatives ami close friends
wero presint.
Immediately following- the ceremony
Mr. and Mrs. CI uk departed for Walla
Walla for i wedding trip. They will
make thetr home in ths vicinity of Ju
niper. The bride Is a charming girl :
of pleasing personality, while Mr. i
Clark Is a well known farmer of this
county.

terday when five girl friends were ask
ed to the home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. F. S. Erwln, 200 High Street, to
spend the afternoon. Games sped
the hours and later a dainty luncheon
was served at a table for which a Val
entine motif made a charming decora
tion, pmk being used In the color
scheme. Candlcl of this hue shone
on the huge white birthday cake which
centered the table.
Besides tne nonor guest, mose pres
ent were Twila House, Olg.i Nelson,
Mary Frances Crabtrec, Pearl Tobin
and Betty Smith.

the allied government heads. The
chamber of deputies, by a vote of 887
to 125. voted formal approval of Pro-
mier Brkind'a agreement regarding
German reparations and disarmament.
The premier's critics declared the
terms were not severe enough.
