Anna Case To King Miss Malen Burnett of Walla Walla was ' hero yesterday to interest lcm people In the Anna Case concert which will be given at the Keylor Grand In walla Walla February 15 under the auspices of Miss Burnett and Mrs. C. F. Van do Water. Miss Case is Metropolitan star soprano. She is known for her beauty as well as her volca, and has appeared on the moving picture screen. Kiger as plaintiff filed suit for damages and a restraining order against the Browoell Livestock com pany this morning in the Circuit Court It la alleged In the complaint that the Brownella sold a piece of land border ing the city of Umatilla to H. E. Mc Kinney and that the main Inducements of the ytale was that the highway form ing the outlet to the land was a per manent roadway. McKlnney later sold the farm to Kiger and the later alleges that the livestock company Is now threatening to close the road, thus leaving him with no means of market ing his produce in Umatilla. The plaintiff prays the court to prohibit the company from closing the road, to prevent the placing of posts and ditches In the road, and for damages amounting to (2500. WASHINGTON. Feb. 1. (A. P.)
