blare of trumpets announced their
coming and Homer Welch wus the
genial Santa as he scattered favors
far and wide. Another fcuture was a
starlight dance, a great blue star

litters of the "Jolly Dachclors" ap
peared oit the wall. '
Flinch and candies were dispensed
to the dancers. More than 100 folk
enjoyed the affair from the grand
march led by Miss Marguerite Hum
phrey and David Swanson, to the last

MISSM'M ASTERS IS BRIDE
Coming as a surprise to the many
friends of Miss Hortense Mac Master
is the announcement of her marriage
to Mr. W. A. George, of Lewiston
Idaho.
The marriage was solemnized at St.
Stephens Cathedral, In Portland, on
December 20 at' 6 o'clock with a few
friends and relatives in attendance.
After a brief wedding trip, and n
few days spent in Pendleton, they will
be at home to their friends in Lewiston
after January 1 where Mr. George it
engaged in business.
KANSAS FOLK VISIT.
Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Wendell of
Marysville, Kansas, are guests in Pen
dleton at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.
It. Leckllder, 3109 West Webb street.
Mr. Wendell is vice president of the
International Brotherhood of Station
ery Firemen and Oilers. The guests
arrived Monday and they plan to leave
this evening for The Dalles where they
will visit Mr. Wendell's sister.
