night before the execution of his son

steamer Itallena, which burned to the
water's edse and sank. Considerable
damage was dono to the steamer
lowana, also. Tho loss will total
$200,000.
Twelve of the Pallena's crew wero
asleep on board when the fire broko
out. All except the night watchman,
who was suffocated, were rescued.
