Hl Bridal Night," which can be seen
Thursday only at the Alta Theatre,
crashed through tlio fence of a jBa.mil-
flcent Tvrrytown estate, Is d.suubad
the honeymoon of a weullhy New
Yorker and his bride, and also ruined
several hundred feet of good film.
The scene of the accident was a pic
turesque estate on the Hudson Ulvor at
Tarrytown which lswned hy a weal
thy New York resilient, and where he
end hia bride had been spending their
honeymoon.
"Hia Bridal Night" la the story' of
twin sisters. One Is engaged to be
married and the other hopes to be. On
the night of the weddhiK of one twin,
the other Twin Impersonates her sis
ter, and she and her sister's husband
speed away on the first lap of their
bridal tour. A moment later the other
twin discovers her husband'g mistake
and gives chf.se In a machine. It was
while Miss Brady was playing the part
of the .married sister who was pursu
ing her linmarrled alster and her hus
band that the accident occurred.
The machine which was used In the
seen was a high-powered roadster of
International fame. The cameraa were
set to take In a portion of the state
highway leading pa-st the New l ork-
er'a magnificent country estate. v hen
Director Webb shouted "camera," Miss
Frady eased In the clutch and the
machine shot ahead. Just as It near
ed a curve in the road where the scene
was to end, the car gwered to the right
and crashed through the stone and ce
ment fence wnich encircles the honey
mooner's country home.
The fence at the point of collision
was demolished and the front part of
the roadster "was also wrecked. Al
though Miss Brady was not thrown
from tho seat, she was severely shak
en up, and her nerves suffered a dis
tinct shock.
A treaty of peace was Immediately
signed between the honeymooners aod
thj invading party, and reparation for
all damages was one of the fourteen
points. The thirteen other points were
not mentioned, but they arc believed to
have Included thirteen or more spokes
from the wheels which were found
scattered about the lawn of the estate.
"His Bridal Night" Is, without doubt,
one of the best pictures in which Miss
Brady has appeared. Never was she
so charming, so dashing and Irresist
ibly alluring. The direction of the pic
ture by Kenneth Webb is superb and
the photography by Jacques Monteran
and George Folsey a work of art
