Gardner Sullivan the Meal for the theme and plot of Hair pins," the latest Ine-Pramount-Art-Cfaft photoplay starring Knid Bennett, which will be shewn at the Alta thea tre today. The dinner, at which Mr. Sullivan ltd a guest, was being served by wait resses. During the progress of the meal a hairpin dropped from the head of one of the young women onto the table. She carleesly picked it up, mut tered an apology and replaced It In her hair. -. But Mr. Sullivan had his Idea. He began to wonder what sort of wife this woman would make to some man lie wondered it he, aa the husband of a woman so careless and untidy, would be contented. For several says he pondered. And then he set towork on his story, and "Hairpins," one of the most appealing stories Mr. Sullivan baa ever written, was th result. - "Hairpins" Is a story of an old fashioned wife, who, through her fail ure to keep up her personal appear ance, failed to hold the Interest, of her husband.
