golf club was born last week at a
meeting f ioc?l golfing enthusiasts in
the chamber of commerce rooms. Joe
Roman was chosen as president, Dan
Whitman vice president, Dick Grant,
secretary, and Charles Halderman and
G. W. Sanborn directors.
The ancient Scottish gome has taken
such deep roots in this communty. and
is claiming so many new recruits that
there was a general feeling that the
players should bapd themselves to
gether In a permanent organization.
The Gearhart links will be used pro
viding that satisfactory arrangements
can be made. The dues and other de
tails will be worked out later. At 'a
meeting of the executive board will
be held later to make decisions for re
