strength developed In the corn market
today largely aa a result of the high
prices prevailing for wheat. The close ,
was nervous, at 5-8 cents to 1 l-8i
cents net advance, with May 1.67 6-8 :
to 1.67 $-4 and July 1.60 $-4 to 1.61.
Oats gained 1-4 cents to 1-2 cents. .In
provisions the outcome varied from!

Erom the outset In the corn market.
much notice waa taken of the fact
that exporters were paying sixty centa
more above the established mini
mum for wheat. Besides, the govern

ed as bullish, for it said the condition
of winter wheat was In general un
satisfactory and that seeding, germln.

hen retarded by unfavorable weather.
