The Portland Ad Club Is anxious to
have the business men of Pendleton
jus their guests at a get-together some
time late In April or In May, accord
ing to a letter received this morning
from President K. N. Strong. The
recent session of the Ad Club with the
businessmen of Astoria was very suc
cessful, Mr. Strong said, and the ad
men believe that Portland and Pen
dleton might also get together to their
mutual benefit. No official action
has yet been taken on the Invitation.

financial embarrassment If caught by
Truffle Officer William Lyday. He
has recently had several small ce
ment markers made which will be
spiked to the center of the principal
street intersections to guide the turn
ing of vehicles. The ordinance re
ferring to the turning and which will
be rigidly enforced when the markers
are placed, is as follows: "All ve
hicles approaching an intersection of
a street with t he intention of turn
ing thereat shall in turning to the
right keep closely to the right and
in turning to the left shall run up to
and beyond the center of the Intersection."
