cussed, the men present, numbering
about 10, decided that Astoria neede.j
no outsie aid in this matter and would
proceed to raise the necessary funds.
It was pointed out by Fulton,
counsel for the port commission, that
the port could finance the project
through a special tax election, or have
the city finance it In the same man
ner, or fipally raise the money by pop
ular subscription.
