The romance and fun of the aver
age Central American revolution are
admirably brought out In "ILcss Than
Kin." the new paramount, photoplay,
starring Wallace Keid and featuring
dainty Ann Little, which will be
shown at the Alta theater today.
In this excellent picture Mr. Reld
plays twq rolesthat of a ne'er-do-well,
who is disowned by his family
and the other' that bf a man who has
accidentally killed a man In defense
of a woman, and who esoapea from
Jail and finds refuge In Central Am
erica, where he drills a motley army
ot revolutionists. . The resemblance
between these two men is so start
ling that on the death of the ne'er-do-well,
the refugee decides to assume
his name and station and return to
New York, where, his Imposture brings
about many highly diverting situations-
: In the end, however, he is par
doned and finds happiness and love
In a charming girl.
- The photography In this photoplay
Is of exceptional merit and lends much
to the attractiveness of the' subject.
The story was written by. Alice Duer

What a grand and glorious exist
ence life would be if-we. could only
look into the future and mould our
lives as is done In "Why I would Not
Marry," the William Fox production
which opened at the Arcade last night.
The play concerns a man who was
willing to put his daughter on the
auction block of matrimony to fur
ther his own Interests. An excellent
all-star cast Is seen and In addition
to a real evening's entertainment the
play teaches a moral. It will be
shown again today and tomorrow.
