week. lie bad enlisted in the navy

Allan Drumheller, winner of the
cow boys' relay race at the past tw
Kound-I'ps. was defeated last week
at the Spokane fair in a six day race
by Nap Lynch, also a Kound-l'p rid
er and who will be here next week.
Their final race Saturda was a dead
heat but L,ynch's time for the six days
was about 13 seconds better than
Drumheller. Durrel Cannon, riding
Purney Sherry's string, was third and
nasta Jim. an Indian, fourth. Mabel
DeLong. riding Drumheller's string,
easily won the women's relay over
Mrs. Parsons and Josephine Sherry.
The men'H relay was very exciting all
week, according to Ed Coffman who
returned yesterday from the fair. He
states Drumheller had the fastest
horses hut that Lynch beat him on the
changes. The crowds at the fair
were good, says Coffman, but not to

of the company. He will go there to
take charge of the construction and
