RECORD JAVELIN THROW OVERRULED The record of 184 feet which Ches ter Fee of Pendleton made In the jave lin throw at the Intercollegiate con ference meet at Pullman last year will not be allowed to stand as a mark for other spear-hurlers to shoot at, ac cording to a decision reached by the A. A. U. authorities. It was found that a 10 or 12 mile wind was blowing or the day of the meet and that this assisted Fee's Javelin In Its record flight. Other records made that day, notable among which was the 440 yard reoord made by Kadderly of' O. A. C. were disallowed on the same grounds. Fee, however, is given some consolation by the president of the A. A. U. who characterizes him as one of the best pole-vaulters America has produced. HOW GOOD THAT MUSTEROLE FEELS!
