The V-L-8-E release, "His Wife's Good Name," is the attraction at thu Pastime Theater on Sunday only. In this Vitagraph Blue Ribbon Fea ture Director Ralph W, Ince found it necessary to film a number of scenes in a grocery store, so he gave orders for the "set' to be erected in the studios Immediately. As a general rule this would have entailed but a little, trouble and ex pense, but the studios happened to be in active service and the necessary space for a store of this kind could not be had at that particular time. Nothing daunted, Mr. Ince gave or ders for his company to report at a grocery store a few blocks from the studios early the following morning, when they would film the scenes. After receiving the permission ol the store keeper, the lights and other pharaphernalia were transported and rehearsals began. Instead of asking the manager to keep customers out of the store while the actual picture was being taken, Mr. Ince decided to let them become the payers for the time and unknow ingly form the action of the story. Of course, had they seen the camera the Joke would have been over, but only the necessary "eye' showing. The plan worked well in fact better than the company thought it would, with the result that the scene is quite at tractive and framed with no email amount of realism. Cosy Sunday.
