A big week day audience greeted the William F"X play "The Mediator" at the Pastime both afternoon aivl evening yesterday and all had a word of praise for the picture. George Walsh as the Mediator whose one ob ject in life was to keep the peace, no mat'er If he had to fight to do it, won the hearts of all. A,, Is sent down south to trail a gang of moonshiner Jefferson Owynne, a lovable, but rather hot-headed young southerner, believes Ford is aiding the negroes in itheir political fight, against tho whites. As Ford Is compelled to keep his real mission secret, Gwynne con ceives a violent dislike for this "agi tator," he believes Ford to te. and makes no pretense of concealing his aversion. This mistaken idea of the young southerner brings about a tragedy and causee much sorrow to Innocent people. You will be wondering Just how everything is going to end right up to the finish of - this feature. "Broken Chins" is the title and E'-hcl Clayton and Carlyle Blackwell are the fyo stars.
