"IifeH Shadows."
William Nigh and Irene Howley,
two Metro stars of extraordinary tal
ents, will be seen in the stellar roles
of "Life's Shadows," a novel and in
teresting five-part Metro wonderplas
which will be presented here at tha
Alta theater on Tuesday and Wedne
day. Mr. Nigh, who wrote "LifeV
Shadows" and directed its production.
In addition to playing one of the stel
lar characters, has surrounded him
self with a notable cast which In
cludes Robert Elliott, Roy Clair,, Da
vid Thompson, Will E. Stephens, Wil
liam Tearance, Harry Llnson, Harry
D. Blakemore, Frank Montgomery.
Ruth Thorp, Grace E. Stevens and
Kathleen Allaire. Mr. Nigh was es
pecially Interested In the work of
Miss Allaire, a beautiful and gifted
girl of sixteen years. Mr. Nigh dis
covered her In California more than
a year ago. He told her to remain
In school another year and he would
send for her, with a view of making
a Btar of the girl. In writing "life's
