The brewers' measure was over whelmingly defeated. The entire vote cast was 323. The Uidles Aid of the local M. E. church gave meals on election day at the I. O. O. F. hall. The proceeds of their day's work amounted to over forty dollars. Mrs. J. H. Leezer went up to Pen dleton this morning to attend the wedding of her neice, Miss Ethel Chapman. Mayor Hugh D. Smith ond wife left on No. 17 today for Portland on a two weeks visit. Judge Henry J.
