These two pictures are the extreme In plot and theme, the first with Chaplin being a nonsensical farce comedy in two laughable acts, with the scenes laid In a pawn shop. The second, ft drama of the west ta ken mostly on barred plains and with sturdy western characters. The two pictures together make a delight ful entertainment. Helen Holmes and Company in "The Diamond Rusmers," pastime Tue-day-Wednesday. Tomorrow, Tuesday, the Pa-time will present the "Diamond Runners," with Helen Holmes, Paul C. Hurst, Leo D. Maloney, Thos. G. Llngham and Katherine Goodrich. The pic ture Is directed by J. P. McGowan of Whispering Smith fame and the cast Is exactly the same as the one which played In that memorial picture. "The Diamond Runners" is an expose of the diamond smugglers, showing how rare stones are run out of South Africa for foreign markets and is an exceptionally strong play In every re. spect.
