Tooze of Salem, who was campaigning in this county for Hughes last week, has returned to the valley a strong booster Tor the amenameni to establish a normal school here. In a Sunday Interview with the Salem Statesman, he said In part: "I have taken a special Interest In the estab lishment of a normal school In east ern Oregon and it appears to me that western Oregon should concede the necessity of placing such an institution at Pendleton which is the most central and feasible point In eastern Oregon. Eastern Oregon represents two-thirds of the territory and one-third of the Population of the state. If western Oregon gives its loyal support It will do much to convince the people of that district that no sectional difference oxists among the educators of the state." Idaho Treasurer Here. John W.
