RC8EBUJRQ, (ire.. June 21. Percy
Karl, aged 14 years and a former res
ident of BUtherlln, was drowned whilp
bathing in a river near Stiver, Poll
County, according to word received
be re. The body has been recovered
and will be taken to Sutherlin for bur
lal. In addition to his mother, Earl
is survived by three sisters.
At the time of the tragedy Earl and
his sister were bathing in the river
near the former's home. Neither of
them could swim. 11 is supposed that
Earl was seized with cramps or step
ped into a deep hide in the river.
