T-, June 12 Theodore Roosevelt reiterated last night that he Is "out of politics." "I want to tell you newspapermen," be said, "that it's no use for you to ( come up here to see me. I will have nothing to say. I will answer no questions, so please don't ask me to. I am out of politics." If the ex-presldent has any plans for the immediate future, other than j to continue his literary work, he has not made them public. His secretary, John W. McOrath, Is expected to ar rive here today from Chicago with a detailed report of the happenings at both the republican and progressive conventions. Colonel Roosevelt at tended church service in the village Sunday with Mrs. Roosevelt, but re mained in seclusion at Sagamore Hill the rest of the day. The telegraph wires brought a flood of messages to Colonel Roosevelt. It I was announced that most of them ap i proved his action in declining to be come a candidate on the progressive j ticket. While Colonel Roosevelt j would not discuss the question, his In- timates consider It altogether unlike ly that he would reconsider his refus al to head the third ticket. A plea was made the other day before Jus tice Tiernev for the revocation of the order prohibiting visitors and rela tives from seeing Mrs. Francesca C,a glio, in the Bronx county Jail. The woman is awaiting trial for the alleg ed murder of her husband last Sep tember. Recently, according to the prisoner's counsel, a woman visitor was found in the jail without the sheriff's permission. She had been adndtted by a night guard. As s result of this Incident Mrs. Qaglio w-as not allowed to see her famil. She has not seen her three I babies since that time.
