Gibson Case Postponed. The trial of Arthur J. Gibson on a charge of violating the dance ordi nance, when called yesterday after noon, was postponed until Saturday. The defendant was not ready for trial and. as certain witnesses could not be here today, tomorrow. Thursday or Friday, it was set for Saturday at 3. Major Lee Moorhouse has obtained for his museum the old register used at Bingham Springs in the early days At that time the rest was known as the Warm Springs House. The regis ter goes back as far as 1882 and was in use until well along in the nineties. The lists contain the names of many old residents of this section and of Walla Walla. One Suit Brings Another. Each district is entitled to $7.00 for every child rf school age enumerated and $5.00 for each teacher who attended an institute 16 hours. Athena $1638, Milton $5927 and Stanflcl'i $1127. Plaintiff (iet 9250 Verdict. After being out for 19 hours, the Jury In the case of J. C Hoskins vs. Kobbins and West this morning brought in a verdict for $250 in favor of the plaintiff. Hoskins, who had purchased an auto from the defend ants for $900, had paid $300 down and given his note for $600. The note had been transferred to George Haw who, as an innocent purchaser, securen Judgment against Hoskins on It. Hos kins sued for the cost of the car plus commissions on the sales of two oth ers plus damages. The Jury did not give him anything on the note but al lowed his $160 damages and $100 commbwion. The esse occupied the time of the court for four straight days. The Jury could not reach a ver. diet last night and went to bed shortly after midnight.
