For two hours last night at the Oregon theater, Tony Ajax of Los An geles. Pacific coast middleweight champion, and Frank McCarroll, L'oise heavyweight wrestler, tried their best holds on each other and strug gled with all their strength and skill to pin each other to the mat, but nei ther could accomplish the trick. At the end of the two hours the match "as called a draw by Referee Harlan and the two grapplers complimented each other. McCarrol outweighed his opponent by ten or fifteen pounds and had counted on his extra weight for a vic tory. Ajax, who is a finished mat. man, was no less confident of being the winner, and each proved a sur prise to the other. Ajax began the match as the ag gressor. He has been in the habit ol winning his bouts as soon as possible, especially where he Is pitted against a bigger man. His best showing on the offense was made in the first ten minutes when he fastened what look ed like an unbreakable hold upon the Happy Canyon strong man. He had McCarroll ? shoulders near the mat for several minutes but the great strength of the latter saved him and he finally broke loose. Alter that he was in no danger. After the first half hour, McCar roll became the continuous aggressor for an hour. He worked upon Ajax with vim. fasten ng one hold after another, some of them being bad ones. However. Ajax proved a great de fensive worker and his thorough knowledge of the game stood him In fine stead. Time after time he broke holds that looked to many of the fans like the beginning of the end. Toward the latter part of the match. Ajax al ternated with the Boise man in fast ening holds and for the final ten min utes they were on their feet bull'ng each other about the mat. The match was an exceptionalH P,ood one and completely satisfied the hundred or more people in the audi ence. Graham against the Spreckles brothers and the Southern Pacific, for interest In the Coos Bay Roseburg and Eastern Railway, and the Beaver Hill Coal Company, be gan in the federal court. Graham contends that Spreckles took over the property for a debt of half a million without the legal formality of fore closing. Spreckles later sold the "prop erty to the Southern Pacific for one million, three hundred thousand dol lars Clark Boy Found Murdered. ALBANY, Ore.. April 18. Billy Clark, eight years old. for whom the police and boy scouts have been searching for three weeks, was found dead in a woods six miles northwest of here.
