dead Just because the terminal yards
were moved.

A. O. Picklns. who was injured in
an auto accident Sunday afternoon
when his machine skidded and hit a
curb In West Webb street, dented to
day that he was running at an exces
sive rate of speed. According to his
statement he was gomg at an ordi
nary rate when he struck the paved
street. The wet pavement caused the
car to skid, throwing him out and
fracturing his collar bone.

a two-speed drive snaft for attach
ment to Ford cars, and their applica
tion for letters stent has been filed
since March 5, 1915.. A company la
organized and is now manufacturing
and marketing said device, and there
is no stock (or sale tn said company.
A rumor has reached the Inventors
that a company known as the Kellen
berger Mfg. Co , of Spokane, has been
organized and Is selling stock upon
representations that they nave a pat
ent for a device such as has been in
vented by Messrs. Hess & Scott, and
that the company is organised to
manufacture the device. That they
are selling stock in and about Pen
dleton. The patent office fails to disclose
that a patent has been Issued to this
company or to any one connected
therewith, and at best they have Just
recently filed their application.
Messrs. Hess & Scott will not tolerate
any Interference with their device
and will, when the patent Is granted,
prosecute any Infringement thereon,
