killers from their own feed lots and
the purchases made by them at coun
try points, there was little either in
the mutton or lamb market to offer al
North Portland for the week. Total
receipts were greater than during the
previous week, but this was due main
ly to the fact that the movement from
killers' feed lots was greater.
There is little. If any mutton being
fed for this market at the present
time: therefore, the outlook is for con
tinued limited arrivals and extreme
pr-cea and demand.
Those sales made at North Portland
during the week were at higher prices
and Jlu is talked of for lambs as soon
as suitable quality is offered.
