Puts New Drink on Market.
Since the prohibition law put an
' end to the established business of the
: City Brewery, William Roesch, the
S manager, has completely adapted his
i institution to meet the demands of the
j law. and, as a result, is now putting
on the market a dozen or more dlf
I ferent soft drinks which are becom
I Ing so popular that, even at this date,
! Mr. Roesch is having difficulty in
filling his orders. However, his fa
cilities will soon be such that he ex
pects to be able to take care of his
i growing trade. All of the products
of the plant will be labeled "Oregon
Trail Brand," a name that has been
copyrighted. Two of the new drinks
which he has evolved he calls "Bran
New" and are mads from corn, hops
and malt. They are absolutely non
alcoholic but are declared by many
beer-lovers to be the best substitute
for the old drink that has yet been
placed on the market. Mr. Roesch
is also making leaders of "Port-o"
and "Pend-o." two pasteurized tru
frult drinks that have gained a big
popularity. Mr. Roesch has Installed
several thousand dollars worth of
new equipment and recently went
east ;md took a course of Instruction
in the latest methods of bottling He
uses nothing but glass and crocken
in all of the processes and invites the
public to inspect his pmnt to satisfy
themselves that a premium is placed
