Feb. 24 Mrs. Estel le Garret Baker. 36 years old. an At lanta, Ga., newspaper woman, killed herself by leaping from the tenth story' of a studio building In which her sister, Mrs. Garrett Boyd, has an apartment. She had been suffering for some time with nervous trouble. Mrs. Boyd was at dinner with her two children when she was informed of the suicide. She told the police she had left her sister playing the piano in the living room, the windows of which she had taken the precau tion to lock. Funeral Tomorrow, Funeral services for the late Mrs L. E Koebcke, which were to be held this noon, have been postponed until tomorrow noon. The services will be conducted at the German church at Myrick and burial will be made In the German cemeterv. If the republi cn,,u attack Wilson's submarine poli cies in the forthcoming political cam l alirn ambassador Gerard may stump the I'nlted States to support the ex-1 ecutive. He plans to visit America before the June convention. Gerard also expects to urge a tariff high en ough to shut out cheap products with which he Is convinced Europe Is pre- I arlng to flood the United states arter the war. He may also advocate a tariff commission. He will also tell the people why the Germans thought America was bluffing In her submarine demands. Gerard tried several weeks to impress the Germans with the seriousness of the situation.
