THE STORY
The story deals with a divorced war-correspondent who divides his time be
tween dodging alimony-hunting divorced wives and various creditors. As a
means of relief from his financial troubles he makes love to a brewer's widow
proposes, and is accepted. War breaks out between Turkev and Greece and he
seixes the opportunity to dodge his troubles and a fiancee who does not appeal to
him to go out as a war-correspondent to Greece. It happens that a voung Am
erican millionaire at the same time Is sailing for Africa to hunt big game On
thesame steamer are two charming Kirls who are going to the fron as Red
Crow nurses. One of them turns out to be the war-correspondent's last wife
the millionaire immediately falls in love with the oihr. Arriving in Greece the
war-correspondent finds dodging his former wife too strenuous and resigns his
position. The millionaire offers to take his name and act as correspondent for
him. From then on there are all sorts of comical misunderstandings and situa
tions. Scene after scene is a riot of laughter up to the very end where misunder
standings are cleared up. the mlllioBaire is accepted bv the Red Cross nurse"
and the war-correspondent reunited with his former wife. Despite the fact that
"THE GALLOPER" Is primarily a comedy, there is plentv of drama and much
thrill to it. It is the first Gold Rooster Play, and sets a high standard for those
to follow.

THE STORY
J. Rufus Wallingford and Blackle Daw. "con-men" extraordinary, through
the pleadings of Violet and Fanny Warden, whose father was ruined by the
Falls' clique, make an attack on the Falls' millions. J. Rufus, the spokesman
of the team, Invests money In a portable house invented by young Falls, son of
the president of the O. Q. A T.
Hut for a long time no customers appear to take their products off their
hands. Finally one does show up, a farmer and with a big order if there were
more improvements on the houses. Now, Wallingford has several Inventions
aloiiK these lines which he will sell for tlSt.MO and the Company Is forced to
take them.
However, as they are about to be shipped. "Onion" Jones comes on the scene
with the alarming statement that If theentire output of the Company Is not
turned over to him.' he w ill sue for Infringement of patents. His request Is
complied with by J. Rufus Wallingford and his companions.
As the boys file out of the "fflce after Riving up their all to Mr. Jones, the
farmer takes off his beard and Is none attur than Hlackle Daw. "Onion" Jones
proves to be a member of the firm of Wallingford and Co.. and the two ladles,
the maid and the farmer's wife, apparently, are the Warden glrli.
Then, with due ceremony, the name of Falls Is crossed off the list of pros
pective "soft ones." and they prepare to "land" another. This la done In the next
episode. It is called "Three Rum and a Coal."
