the Southern Yana Indian said to be
the last of his tribe, who three years'
ago was transferred from barbarism
to civilization and became the study
of scientists, is to return to his native
hills because he is 111. Scientists have
concluded that that is the only way
to save his life.
Three years ago when Ishi was cap
tpred in the mountains, he was her
alded as a remarkable discovery and
was brought to the affiliated colleges
to be studied by the professors. He
is said to have contracted tuberculosis.
