Prices ruled lower In the local market during the week, but little else could be expected In view of the overloading of the market every week. Killers are unable to find a place tn put the hogs that are coming for ward. A very large per cent of them Is of extremely poor quality, the run of good stuff being comparatively limited. Little change was shown in tne mutton and lamb market situation at North Portland for the week. The run showed a very liberal increase and the bulk of these were direct shipments to a local meat company For this reason there was little need of the big killers In entering the market tot the small remaining stocks.
