Phone 609. Struck With a Pick. J. L Smith, while working on the Pipe line job on West Alta street to day, was struck in the forearm by a sharp pointed pick in the hands of a fellow laborer. The happening was entirely accidental and was caused by the two men working too close to gether. The man was taken to Dr. T. M. Henderson's office and an ex amination showed that the point had forced Its way between the two bones. The wound, while painful will not be serious. (Continued From Page Two). Mrs. James H, Estes and children arrived home this morning from Portland where they had been for several weeks. THREE MILLION FEET OF LUMBER IS ORDERED ABERDEEN. Wash., Sept. 8. Filling an order for three million feet of clear fir lumber for Baltimore to be transported to Atlantic tide water in three solid trains, the Grays Harbor Lumber company of Hoqul am has landed the largest rush order in years, the value of the lumber be ing about $150,000. Though the order was received bul a few days ago, the first train was sent out today, the second will get away Saturday and the third early next week. It will require 120 freight cars to carry It. The first trainload consists of 30 cars. The lumber company assem bled and loaded this train In fouf days, which establishes a record for Grays Harbor. The Milwaukee will carry the lum ber to Chicago and the Baltimore & Ohio company will complete the trip. The train carries three 36-foot ban ners bearing the following: "Coast to coast. Entire trains contains ap proximately 1.000,000 feet of clear fir lumber, assembled and shipped by Grays Harbor Lumber company, Ho- oulam, Wash.
