Stone, former Pendleton newspaperman, and Son of Jerry Stone, prominent Adams farmer, left today for Salem where ha has pur chased an interest In the Salem Statesman, one of the leading news papers of the valley. Mrs. Stone ac companied him. Mr. Stone is an ef ficient and hard-working newspaper man and is going upon a paper with which he is thoroughly acquainted, he having held down a desk upon it several years ago. Miss Mason was formerly in charge of the Austin Fur Millinery Company of Boise. While she will deal exclusively now In mil linery, her plans for the furturo in clude the adding of a line of fuH to her stock. Miss Florence Harmon of Portland has arrived to accept the position of head trimmer and M'ss Hart, who has been in charge of toe beauty parlors of the Institution, will remain with the new proprietor.
