Lust week a fine mule was bitten
in the pasture on Pilot Rock. The
tnlmal is the property of John Et
ter. who happened to be near at the
time and witnessed the affair. A
number or young mules got after tbe
snake and were trying to crush it
with their sharp hoofs when it struck
one on the jaw. The animal was
quickly brought to the livery stable
