BERKELEY, Cal., July 14 The advent of the University of California and Stanford into a plan that Califor nia shall lead the world in a system of wider opportunity for advanced education, by the establishment of junior colleges throughout the state, was announced at the general session of the California high school Teach ers' Association by Professor Alexis F. Lango, director of tde school of teach ing at the state uriiversity. The declaration of strotlg support to be given to six year high schools carried with it ptons for legislation and for partial organization of the school system of the state. Iiook Agents Are Jailed. LONDON, July 14 Turkish forces from Yemen, southwest Arabia, sup ported by Arabs, are threatening Aden, the British free port, according to an official report Issued by the British press bureau. The Turks, with a large number of Arabs and field guns, crossed Aden Hinterland near Label, compelling a British force to fall back on Aden. This occurred on July 5. Supposed Mad Dog Slain. CAKLTON.
