Announcement was made this
morning by Dr. L. D. Idleman that he
has formed a partnership with Dr. F.
L.' Ingram and that henceforth they
will conduct Joint offices in the
Schmidt building. Dr. Ingram has
been In Pendleton since last June and
while he has had rooms with Dr. Idle
man their business hag been conduct
ed separately. i
Dr. Ingram has been a dentist In
active practice the last eight years
and has made a special study of the
treatment for pyorrhea under Dr.
Carr 'Of Chicago who is considered
the greatest specialist on this disease
in the world. Dr. Ingram has also
studied under Dr. Smith of Cleveland
and Dr. Barbour of Chicago and
rrlngs to the partnership a full
knowledge of his particular profes
sion. Before coming to Pendleton,
Dr. Ingram was prominent in his pro
fession in the valley. i
The business will now be conduct
ed under the firm name of Idleman
& Ingram. They have one of the
best equipped offices in the country,
with rpecial facilities for X-ray work.
They also announce that their respec
tive studies of painless dentistry has
qualified them for handling cases of
more than ordinary difficulty.
Dr. Idleman has been practicing in
Pendleton the last ten years, having
opened offices here In 1897. He is a
post-graduate of many schools of note I
throughout the country. Last year
he went earst and took up post-graduate
work at Chicago and at the Har
vard summer school of dentistry,
spending 1 weka In studying special
work, particularly painless dentistry,
including fractured Jaw cases and por
celain Jacket work. Dr. Ideman al
so studied at Cleveland, Ohio, for
some time along special lines.

chateau of Hooge, east of Ypres, the
war office announced. The battle In
this region has been In progress for
several days. British forces wera

Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Montgomery re
turned today from an automobile trip
through southern Idaho They went
from here to Kinghill by train and
there engaged an automobile and
touied the many places of Interest in
that section of the state. They re
port a very pleasurable trip.
Interesting Tennis Mateh,
A tennis match Interesting to local
lovers of the game was that of last
evening between ((liver P. Morton of
Portland who is visiting here and Ir
vin Brooks of Athena. Both are ex
ceptionally good players and a num
ber of local enthusiasms watched the
gainer with keen interest. Several
friends of Mr. Brooks accompanied
him over from Athena The match
was not completed hut when it was
called, Mr. Morton was ahead.
