Anyone who believes that he can get good out of this work is invited to come and take It. Cleveland Men to Seek Lot Gold. CLEVELAND, , June 3. Three Cleveland men were to start today to find $20 000 in gold supposed to be at the bottom of Lake Erie. They have based their hopes on an old compass carried by a sailor on the schooner Atlantic when she sunk al ter a collision, nearly fifty years ago, carrying with her three boxes and a steel safe containing the gold. Harney McGroder, one of the oldest sailors on the Great Lakes, the own er of the compass, will head the ex pedition, to be financed by Captain J. D. Stanton, head of the South Shore wrecking company. Stanton, Mc Groder and Tom Moreau, diver, are members of the party. McGroder was -on the Atlantic when she sunk and carried the com pass for the first time that night. He says he can feel the compass treni' ble every time he thinks of the d!8' aster.
