brated one of the first of a number
of spring weddings in which promi
nent young Pendleton ans are to be
principals. Carl L. HemmelKarn of
this city and Miss Alberta Harriett
Pearson of Walla Walla but formerly
of Pendleton were united In marriage
by Uev. Father John Durgan before
an assembly of many friends and rel
atives. The wedding ceremony wasj
preceded and follow ed by several
beautiful numbers sung by the church
choir. j
The bride, who is the very attrac
ive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S.
Pearson of Walla Walla, wore a hand
some wedding gown of p nk crepe de
chine and her bridesmaid, Miss Gert
rude Hemmelgarn, was becomingly
gowned In a dress of Alice blue. The
bridegroom was attended by Frank
Pearson, a brother of the bride.
