ing week Is a dancing party cn the
evening of Friday, April thirtieth, at
, the Eagle-Woodman hall with Mrd.
Sam It. Thompson, Mrs. Frederick
Judd, Mrs. Gilbert W. Phelps, Mrs.
F. Willard Bond, Miss Edna Thomp
son and Mtes Edna Zimmerman as
hostesses. Invitations are out this
morning.
Mrs. Robin W. Fletcher and two
younger children left today for Port
land for a visit at the home of Mrs.
Eleanor Cameron, Mrs Fetcher's
mother.
Mrs. Sam K. Thompson was hostess
last evening to the members of the
Evening Bridge Club and. a number
of other friends at her home on
North Main street. Honors were won
by Mrs. John F. Robinson and Leon
Cohen. Among the guests was Mis
Cora Roulstone of Walla Walla, who
arrived yesterday to spend several
days with Mrs. Thompson.
The Ladies' Aid of the Uaptlst
church met yesterday afternoon 1n
the west room of the church. The
meeting was principally for the pur.
pose of making plans for the- dedica
tion of the new basement rooms.
Accompanied by a number of local
members of the W. C. T. U., Mrs.
Kemp, state president, and Mrs. Hen
rietta Brown, state vice president,
went to Milton by auto yesterday and
spent the day. Meetings were held
in the Methodist church at 10 and. 2,
a number of short talks and address-
helncr made at each. At 12.30 a
splendid banquet was served In the
gymnasium room of the Presbyterian
church. A large attendance was at
both meetings. Among those accom
panying the itate officers were Mrs.
O. W. Rugg, Mrs. Stephen A. Lowell,
Mrs. A. F. May, Miss Lavelle Rugg,
Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Blakely, Mrs
Woodworth, W. J. Stockman and
Miss Cunard of Weston,
pressed the feelings of the Social De
mocrats and said that the party de
sired to secure honorable peace."
