RAILROADS IS BEST
SAN FRANCISCO. Cal., March 18.
The ownership of all the railroads
In the United States by one company
would result In better transportation
facilities and save much duplication,
according to the statement made by
Julius Kruttschnltt, chairman of the
board of directors of the Southern
Pacific railroad, testifying at the
hearing before examiners In connec
tion with the proposed unmerglng of
the Central and Southern Pacific.
He would not admit, however, that
the United States government should
he that agency.
His statement followed his testi
mony that the single management of
the Central Pacific and Southern Pa
cific had resulted In much greater
efficiency.
