bration of the anniversary of the
death of Oberdank, who organized
the unsuccessful plot to ansaaslnate

1882 and was put to death for It.

though they had been forbidden by
the authorities to do so, parties to the
movement placarded the streets with
posters referring to Oberdank and al

sharp nights the local ponds have
been transformed Into a mirror of
solid Ice and are affording a new pas-'
time In this section. Skating parties
have gathered every evening at the
pond, north of the school house,
