M. S. Pittman. field representative

this morning from a highly gratifying
trip to the schools in the east end
and will leave tomorrow for La
Grande.
Emmett Hicks, who for the past
year has been the motion picture op
erator at the Alta theater, left to
day for his home in Klamath Falls,
where he will remain for the benefit
of his health.
Henry W. Collins, local warehouse
man and grain buyer, will leave to
night for Portland where he will look
after business matters. While there
he will also consult with Captain Al
Lodell upon the baseball situation.

employed five new plumbers In order
to handle the rush of spring business
that is opening up. According to Mr
Phelps, he has secured the contracts
for nine dwellings now under way.
Evidently Tendleton Is to experience
