Chicago Market In Unchanged for
, May and 1-8 I'p for July and
Start and Closing.
. CHICAGO. Feb. 21. Only fractional
changes were shown In the wheat mar
ket at the closing yesterday. May be
ing unchanged and July l-8c better
than Thursday's finals. Opening fig
ures were unchanged for May and l-8e
up for July,
After the opening the market show
ed a rise of l-4c for May and but 1-8
for July. The weakness at the open
ing was due to the unfavorable start
' of the Liverpool market, although the
closing there was higher.
Broomhall cabled from Liverpool
that the larger shipments from Argen.
tin caused some pressure at the
opening, with liberal exports from
Australia expectations "of larger
world's shipments this week. Later
there was covering and speculative
support induced by fewer Manitoba
offers, flrmnesa In spot improved mil
ler demand nd firmness of Australi
an offers.
