Pendleton high school footballists
complete. That selfish thing is a tri

member of the trio of time-honored
foes, and the opportunity for such a
triumph will be given them next Frl
day afternoon, the annual contest be

If Pendleton wins from Walla Wal
la next Friday as she has won from
La Grande and Uaker already, her re

a possibility of getting a Portland ac

contest. Already the matter Is being
talked and, providing the necessary
support is forthcoming, a game on
turkey day will probably be arrangeJ
The Wallowa high school is very
desirous of getting a game with Pen

come to that city on Thanksgiving
Wallowa has already defeated La
Grande, and is the only disputant to
Pendleton's claim to the champion

but the contest. If held, will probably

The Pendleton team will go up
against Walla Walla with a stronger
team than defeated Uaker last week.
Rugg will probably be baffle at center
and Jordan will also be in the game.
The team will be better coached, too,
as several former college players are
assisting Coach Asbahr strengthening

For tonight's program the Frank
Rich company will present somethin?
entirely new in the way of a musical
show. "The Suffragettes," which is
the play, is one of those rapid fire
comedies that keep moving swiftly:
from the rise to the fall of the cur
tain. George P.urton. the principal
comedian, will be seen as a baron,
while Tommy Hums will be his able
"fixer" and the fun in this bill is fast
, and furious.
i Twelve big musical numbers add
' much to the show and the chorus
shows off to great advantage. The
company plays here all week, with
a change of bill nightly.
