Schrader, a fireman, shot and killed his wife at their home and then shot and seriously wounded Patrolman George Tift who was called by neigh bors to arrest Schrader. Tift was shot through the neck and his col larbone was broken. After shooting the policeman, Schrader escaped. Schrader was arrested last week on complaint of his wife.
