Bowels are Basis off Child Hea.th Tbe careful mother, who watches close ly the physical peculiarities of her chil dren, will soon discover that the most Im portant thing In connection with a child's constant goon health Is to keep tbe bowels regularly open. KIiibkIhIi bowels will be followed by loss of apatite, restleasnesa during sleep, Irritability anu a dozen and one similar evidences of physical disorder. At the first sign of inch disorder give the child a tcasjwonful of Dr. Caldwell's Hyrup Pepsin at night on retiring and re peat the dose tbe following night If neces sary more than that will scarcely be need ed. You will find that the child will re cover Its accustomed good spirits at once and will eat and sleep normally. This remedy Is a vent Improvement over salts, cathartics, laiative waters and sim ilar things, which are altogether too pow erful for a child. The homes of Mrs. E. 8. Mrs. George Brown of this city, is probably the only woman In It who has caught one of the large chinook salmon during the open season, and It was taken In to a rowboat without a gaff. It is customary for the men to use gaff hooks after the fish has been caught with the spoon, but this was not done by Mrs. Brown. She simply used her hands, taking hold of the gills of the big fish that weighed 33 pounds, and pulling the monster salmon into the boat without assistance. The' fish was caught beneath the suspension bridge and the feat was seen by many men engaged In fish ing, who applauded Mrs. Brown for her plucky work. Mrs. Brown's hus band is in the fish business in this city, and she enjoys the sport of fish ing as well as he does. During the past few days the wa ter has been too high for fishing ex cept with tiets, and those using them have done well at night, many tons of salmon already having been caught. These secret are not secrets of guilt or shame, b it the secret of suffering, and they have been con6ded to Dr. R. V. Pierce in the nope and expectation of advice and help. That few of these women have been disappointed in their ex pectation is proved by the fact that ninety-eight per cent, of all women treated by Dr. Pierce have been absolutely and altogether cured. Such a record would be remarkable if the case treated were numbered by hundreds only. But when that record applies to the treatment of more than half-a- mil lion women, in a oractice of over 40 vears. it i phenomenal. and entitle Dr. Pierce to the gratitude accorded him by women, a the first of ' specialists in the treatment of women's diseases.
