OLD-TIME REMEDY
DARKENS THE HAIR
From time immemorial, sage and
sulphur have been used for the hair
scale. Almost everyone knows of the
value of such a combination for
darkening the hair, for curing dan
druff and fa'.llng hair and for making
the hair grow.
In olden times the only way to get
a hair tonic of this sort was to brew
it In the home fireplace, a method
which was troublesome and not al
ways satisfactory. Nowadays almost
every up to date druggist can supply
his patrons with a ready-to-uso pro
duct, skilfully compounded in perfect
ly equipped laboratories. The Wyeth
Chemical company of New York put
up an ideal remedy of this sort, called
Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Hair Rem
edy, and authorize -druggists to sell it
under guarantee that the money will
be refunded If It falls to do exactly as
represented.
If you have dandruff, or If your
hair is turning gray or coming out,
don't delay, but get a bottle of this
remedy today and see what a few
days' treatment will do for you.
This preparation is offered to the
public at fifty cents a bottle, and is
recommended and sold by special
agent, Pendleton Drug Co.

Washington, April 17. "All the
talk I have heard In Washington this
week Is that Governor Wilson's nom
Ination is assured by the landslide to
his standard in Pennsylvania," said
Mr. Jos. N. Teal of Portland, Ore., an
old time democratic leader from his
state. Mr. Teal, who is In Washing
ton for a few days, said that on every
hand he had heard the opinion ex
pressed that opposition to the New
Jersey executive had received its
death 'blow.
"The fight for the delegates to the
Baltimore convention from Oregon Is
one sided with the odds all on Gov
ernor Wilson," said Mr. Teal. "Clark
is the candidate whom the 'allies'
have pitted against Governor Wilson
in Oregon and his supporters are
fighting hard."
Mr. Teal, who has been In close
touch with party affairs in his state
for many years, said that the vast
majority of his fellow citizens are
convinced that Governor Wilson Is the
man, who more than any of hia op
ponents is In full and sincere sym
pathy with progressive ideas and is
the candidate for who mthe state will
Instruct Its delegates. Mr. Teal pre
dicted that Governor Wilson's friends
In Oregon and in every other state
would be immensely encouraged by
the great victory In Pennsylvania.
Some one asked the Oregonlan, if
speaker Clark ran In Pennsylvania.
With a sigh of good humor Mr. Teal
replied: "He did not run. He also
ran."
"Governor Wilson Is beyond doubt
the choice of the vast majority ot
tho democrats In Oregon." continued
Mr. Teal, "which fact will be refuoet'
ed in the vote next Friday. It Is the
belief of the great body of democrats
of Oregon that only a man in full and
sincere sympathy with progressive
ideas can or ought to win. Such a
man they believe Governor Wilson to
be."
