He then walked Into another room and shot himself. Mrs. Tanwyk died In un ambulance while being hurried to St Uernard's hospital. Tandyk was dead when neighbors and police rushed Into the house In response to the screams of Gertrude and her two brothers John 18 years old, and Joseph, 4 year old. The murdered woman had recently made nn effort to have the police take Tandyk's revolver away from him as he had often threatened to kill her. Her effort was in vain as he had a permit to carry the weap on through the fact that he was em ployed as a special policeman by the Pennsylvania railroad.
