There continues a very firm tone HANDS WOULD CRACK OPEN ANDJLEED Blisters Formed, Skin Scaled Off, and Flesh Burned and Itched Dreadfully. Healed by Less Than One Cake of Cuticura Soap and One Box of Cuticura Ointment. "About two months mo my hands Btartea to crack open and bleed, the skin would scale off, and the good flesh would burn and ilchdrandfully. When my hands Bret started to get acre, there were small blisters like water blisters which formed. They Itched dreadfully. It Just seemed as though I could tear tne skin all off. I would scratch them and the Bkin would peel off, and the flesh would be all red and crack open and bleed. It worried me very much, as I had never had anything tha matter with my skin. I was so afraid I would have to give up my employment. "I consulted my doctor, and he said be tildn't thtalk it would amount to anything. But it kept getting worse. One day I saw piece In one of the papers about a lady who had the same trouble with tier hands. She bad used Cuticura Soap and Ointment and was cured. I decided to try them, and my bands were all healed before I had used one cake of Cuticura Soap and one box of Cuticura Ointment. I am truly thankful for the good results from the Cuticura Soap and Ointment, for thanks to them I was cured, and did not have to lose a day from work. I have had tio return of the skin trouble." Our great-grandmothers kept their locks soft, ark and glossy by using a "sage tea." Whenever their hair fell out or took on a dull, faded or streaked appear ance they made a brew of sage leaves and applied it to their hair, with won derfully beneficial effect. Nowadays we don't have to resort to old-time, tiresome methods of gath ering the herbs and making the tea. Life-saving work he had learned as a boy scout enabled Chester Buckley, 15 years ol, to save the life of Samuel Probasco, a school mate, who skated Into an air hole in a hockey game on Assiscunk creek. Probasco had gone down for the sec and time and was carried under the Ice by the swift current before Buck ley, at the head of a "human chain," reached the opening. Buckley could see the drowning boy under the ice, but could not reach him. He thrust his hookey stick un der the ice, hooked the crotch around Probasco and, after several attempts, got him back to the opening. Grab bing the boy's collar he gave a sign to the others on the lino and Probas co was quickly hauled out. Buckley then restored the nearly drowned boy by artificial respiration and he was hurried to the home of his father, S. R. Probasco, a prominent civil engi neer. His complete recovery Is ex pected. Buckley Is a son of Charles Buck ley, an insurance superintendent, and is a member of the Fox Patrol. First Burlington Troop of Scouts. Others In the "human chain" were Norman Fenimore, William Tillinghast, Ed gar Gallagher and John Martin.
