SKIN DISEASES
During the summer most persons are annoyed with pimples,
boils, rashes or eruptions, while others suffer more severely with
Eczema, Acne, Tetter, Salt Rheum, or some kindred skin disease.
All skin affections come from humors and acids-in the circulation.
The blood, as it circulates through the system, deposits these humors
and acids in the sensitive membranous flesh which lies just beneath
the outer skin. This acrid matter causes inflammation and a discharge
which breaks through the delicate cuticle, and skin diseases are the
result. To cure any skin trouble the blood must be freed from all
acids and humors, and for this purpose nothing equals S.S.S. This
great blood purifier completely removes every particle of the impurity,
enriches the blood, and in this way permanently cures skin diseases.
S. S. S. cures because it purifies the blood and thus does away
with the cause. Book on skin diseases and any medical advice you
may desire sent free. S.S.S. is for sale at drug stores.

Oregon Agricultural College, Cor

portance and considerable responsi
bility in the instructional work of the
lute have been given four of the
Oregon Agricultural College graduat -s
in domestic : ieiitc ;nid art this year,
for the coming school year. A large
number of the iiimi ers of the grai

home and demonstrate to their par

fing young brothers) the Value of sci
entific education in housework. A
number, however, will Join the teach
ing corps of high schools, grade and
modern schools, or colleges.
Among these are Miss Lenora Mak
elim of Portland, Miss Minnie Price
of Kings Valley, Miss Ruth McNary
Smith of Marshfield, and Miss Belle
B. Kdwards of Monroe.
Miss Makelin has an interesting
problem before her. She is to install
the new department of domestic sci

Miss Price's problem Is somewhat
similar, since she loo is to instafl a
domestic science and art department
in a virgin field the Salem high
school.
Miss Edwards has been called to
Enterprise to introduce domestic sci
ence and art in the high school in
addition to giving courses in history,
physical geography, English and phy
siology. In the work in domestic
economy, for which she is to choose
all the equipment and plan the cours
es, she has been informed she may ex
pect an initial enrollment of at least
fifteen.
The college has singled out Miss
Smith for the honor of appointment
to a vacancy in the corps of her alma
mater. She has been named assistant
n domestic science and art for the
oming year.

"About eleven years aito I was trou

I would put them in water tho pain
would very n-arly set me crazy, the skin
would peel off and the rlish would get
hard and break. There would lie blood
flowing from at least fifty places on

sufferinir I endured for throe vears. I
tried everything that I was told to use
for fullv three years, but could get no
rebel. 1 tried at least eight fliftorcnt
doctors, but nunc of theni peemed to
do me any good, ns my hands were as
bad when 1 got through doctoring as
when I first began. I also tried many
remedies, but none of theni ever did mo

I had to co to work and stand the pnin

"Before f stalled to work mornings
I would havo to wraii every linger up
separately, so as to try and keep them
soft and then wear gloves over thcrnits
to keep the crease from getting on my
